PROJECT: CELEBRATING IT COLLEAGUES ACROSS THE WORLD

Recognising and celebrating IT colleagues across the globe

Every year, DHL Express dedicate time to recognising the successes of IT teams across the globe. This event is a chance to celebrate wins, acknowledge accomplishments, and for colleagues to come together as one global IT team.

For I LOVE IT 2023, DHL Express wanted to emphasize how IT teams across the globe bring the overarching team strategy, WOW IT!, to life. They also wanted to highlight key achievements of the team to the wider business, helping colleagues understand the crucial role the IT team play at DHL Express.

I LOVE IT 2023 needed to be inclusive, fun for all, and provide an easy way for colleagues across the globe to get involved. It also needed to have a three-step celebration approach – charity, event and challenge.

An engaging theme was developed, inspired by the idea of colleagues being IT action heroes with amazing abilities and the power to WOW.

The campaign theme helped IT teams across the globe showcase their achievements and the superpowers they use every day to keep colleagues across DHL Express connected, effective and protected.

The focus on the ‘WOW’ across the creative lent itself to a pop-art style visual that was bright, colourful and energetic. These visuals were recognisable on a global scale, engaging colleagues from IT teams around the world with I LOVE IT 2023. As part of the campaign, teams were encouraged to create a ‘challenge’ video that demonstrated the WOW IT! strategy in action.

The campaign materials included everything DHL Express needed to encourage IT teams to get involved including; posters, social media posts, creative toolkits, activation ideas for team events, charity work ideas, and a guide for creating the challenge video.

What was the meaningful difference?

IT teams across the globe came together and engaged with I LOVE IT 2023 – organising celebratory events, carrying out charity work together, and creating their challenge videos. In total, 180 videos were submitted on DHL’s internal staff app, Smart Connect.
